DWM Appoints Rajat Arora as Regional Head for South & Southeast Asia

Developing World Markets (DWM), a leading private credit impact investor in emerging markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Rajat Arora as Regional Head for South & Southeast Asia (SSEA). Mr. Arora will be based in India, further strengthening DWM’s commitment to the region.
Mr. Arora brings over two decades of international financial services experience, including nearly fifteen years dedicated specifically to impact investing. Prior to joining DWM, he held senior leadership roles at global asset management companies, leading investments across the SSEA region with a primary focus on fintechs and financial institutions, including microfinance, SME lending, housing finance, leasing, and insurance. In addition, he brings depth of experience in adjacent impact sectors, including renewable energy, climate, and sustainable infrastructure investing. Over the course of his career, Mr. Arora has built deep relationships across the SSEA region’s financial services and impact investing ecosystems.

Mr. Arora holds an M.B.A. in finance from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering. He is fluent in English and Hindi, and is a recognized voice in the industry, frequently participating as speaker at prominent regional conferences such as SuperReturn, AVCJ, Dealstreet Asia, and AFIFORUM.
