Christopher joined DWM in October 2017 as the Chief Risk Officer. He initially joined DWM in June 2015 as a Senior Risk Advisor. He is responsible for all aspects of the Risk function at DWM including governance and policies, investment review of existing and new deal proposals. He is a member of the DWM Credit Committee.
Christopher is a senior Risk professional with over 18 years of experience gained with top tier Banks. His career includes roles as a Senior Market and Counterparty Risk Manager, and Head of Risk Infrastructure. Christopher is responsible for all aspects of the Risk function at DWM including governance and policies, new deal review, and on-going portfolio monitoring. Prior to DWM Christopher was a senior executive in Barclay’s Risk Department, and member of the investment bank risk and governance and oversight committees. Christopher has held global Market Risk coverage roles for Emerging Markets, Credit, and Counterparty risk at both Barclays and Merrill Lynch. His responsibilities included creating emerging markets and counterparty risk frameworks, defining controls, risk appetite, portfolio management, and new transaction reviews as a member of the Debt Capital Commitment committees. Prior to his career in Risk, Christopher spent over 12 years trading interest rate, foreign exchange, and commodity derivatives and options.
Christopher graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He completed an Executive program in Market and Credit Risk at Stanford University and holds a Series 7 and 25.
