Scott has 20 years of experience in private credit and equity, venture capital, and investment banking globally across the financial, energy, agriculture, and real estate sectors. He serves on the Credit Committee of the DWM SDGs Credit Fund.
Scott is a co-founder and managing partner at Ironsharp Capital, a merchant bank and M&A advisor operating globally. He is a non-executive director on the boards of Oasis, an MSME-focused lender he co-founded in Uzbekistan, Bank Lviv, a leading SME bank in Ukraine, and M3System LLC, an innovative producer of energy-efficient modular homes. He is also chairman of the board at R&R Utility Limited, a Canada-based infrastructure developer.
Scott previously was a managing director at CrossBoundary, guiding the firm’s global fintech and financials advisory and emerging Europe practices. Earlier in his career, he led the financial institutions and fintech private equity practice at responsAbility Investments in CEE, Central Asia, and Latin America, originated private credit transactions in CEEMEA for DWM, traded structured derivatives at Alfa Bank and Chatham Financial, and worked in investment banking advisory at Citigroup (London). He also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Bolivia.
Scott holds a BA in psychology from Wake Forest University, an MSc in financial economics from the University of Oxford, and is a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Wharton. He is a CFA charterholder and a certified financial risk manager.
